9 - 30 hours of work every week - minimum of 6 students.

Attractive hourly rate and competitive weekly bonus system ranging from $30.50 - $40 per hour.
WHO WE ARE
Established in 2012, A Team Tuition was founded by Hayden McEvoy, drawing upon his own transformational experiences. We crafted our program in collaboration with child psychologists and educators, grounding it in research and scientific principles. Since then, thousands of students have undergone our transformative approach to tutoring and the results have been incredible.
A Team Tuition strives for inspiring transformation by improving our student’s confidence, motivation, and grades through tutoring and mentoring. We currently have over 300 staff members and are expanding nationally with the vision of becoming the leading education provider in Australia by 2025.
WHAT WE DO
At A Team Tuition, we believe in using the power of cognitive science in tutoring to make a real difference in our students' lives. Our approach is all about hiring the very best Academic Personal Trainers who act as both a tutor and mentor for our students.
Our APT’s tailor their transformative tutoring sessions to suit each student's unique way of learning because we know that every student absorbs information differently. Tutoring sessions are a core part of our Transformation Programs that improve our student’s confidence, motivation and grades.
We are dedicated to providing both our families and our Academic Personal Trainers with exceptional support. All of our APT’s undergo on-the-job training, are assigned to a Success Manager who will provide you with unlimited support. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment that empowers you to excel in your role as an Academic Personal Trainer.
Our Transformation Program is a hybrid of mentoring and academic support. We are currently looking for Academic Personal Trainers to support the following subjects:
Primary
Maths
english
Duties of a Tutor
- Driving to client's homes to provide the tuition service (a maximum drive of 30 minutes).
- Report to your Success Manager during your allocated check in time.
- Explain concepts and coursework relating to what the student is completing in their studies.
- Provide study advice, study tips and examples of how students can complete their work with ease.
- In each 1.5 hour session, you will work with your student one-to-one
- Sessions with your students will be focused on:
- Building & Reinforcing Self Belief: Developing the mindset of your student by building a positive relationship with them as their mentor.
- Study Strategies: In your training, we will teach you how to support your students with their study strategies through our ‘Teachable Moments’ training
- Foundational Subject-Specific Tutoring: In each session, you will work with your student on:
- Homework
- Assignment Work
- Exam Preparation
- Additional Study
- In each session, you will complete session notes that will be sent to the family. Monitor students' progress throughout their tuition.
Essential Criteria and Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in Tertiary education
- Have completed your high school education in the Australian Curriculum (required for English and Primary School tutoring).
- For Primary School tutoring support, you must be able to support students from Years 1 - 6 with both Maths and English.
- For High School tutoring support, you must be confident supporting your chosen subjects up to Year 12.
- You are going into families' homes and building relationships, so it is important that you are a people-person with a high level of communication skills.
- You own or have regular access to a motor vehicle with a current, valid driver's license.
- You must be able to commit to a minimum of six students, all with 1.5 hour sessions, with generous availability throughout the week in the afternoons and evenings.
