Tutoring Partnership
Our Commitment to Parents
A Team Tuition is here to support your child, not only academically, but to stay focused, motivated and excited by learning. Alongside tutoring core subjects, we focus on developing your child's confidence, motivation, and grades. MLC has partnered with A Team Tuition to be the preferred provider for tutoring for your family.
A Team Tuition tutors are employed by A Team after passing a rigorous 4-stage recruitment process and 2-day training program. All tutors are reference checked, WWCC and Police checked with MLC having full visibility of your child's tutor details.
Once your program is confirmed with A Team Tuition, you will receive a session summary detailing each of the sessions your child has with their tutor. In addition, your family is allocated a Client Support Manager who will support and nurture your family throughout the program.
A Team Tuition is partnered with the Australian Boarding Schools Association and work hand in hand withMLC to ensure that tutors are aligned with your child's assessments and curriculum.
Help your child meet their full potential!
We Get Your Challenges
Our team is carefully trained to identify your child's barrier, knowledge gaps, current strategies and learning language. We then roll out a study strategy for your child that includes building their confidence, mindset, and their knowledge of the curriculum.
Constant Communication, Constant Support
One of the fundamental principles of our approach to tutoring is the “child’s support network”. Your child needs the support and influence of the school, teachers, peers, parents, and tutors to thrive. If your child is a boarder, this means additional support from tutors to support the mentoring role:
- Overseeing homework and study at home
- Acting as a cheerleader
- Providing positive influence
- Providing mentoring
We liaise with your child’s support network to ensure there are no gaps and provide feedback and communication with the whole network – so your child’s educational needs are seamlessly met.
Our Boarder Advantage Program at MLC
We provide MLC students with highly engaging and effective tutoring assistance.
The A Team Tuition Boarding Advantage Program is provided to year 7 -10 students with a focus on English and Maths, along with providing specific subject assistance to some year 11 & 12 students.
The Boarding Advantage Program is a carefully tailored program designed to improve your child’s confidence, motivation, and grades by developing their mindset, strategy, and support during their most crucial years. We provide weekly challenges to capture the classroom, as well as end-of-term activities that will become a highlight of boarding life and deliver content based on school curriculum and “A” grade study strategies.
Across 2,500 students we had a 23.1% increase in grade improvement. Meaning that on average, every student went up an entire letter grade.

... What Our Clients Have To Say ...
“Archie’s Academic Personal Trainer, Amber, was well organised, communicated clearly and took the time to get to know Archie through the session. Arch is looking forward to his next session with Amber.”
“My daughter’s Academic Personal Trainer, Mitch, has not just supported my daughter towards improving her results. He has also allowed her to take ownership of her own learning, and given her the strategies to become a self directed and independent learner. She looks forward to her weekly tutoring sessions and always has a feeling of productivity and achievement at the conclusion of the session. The APT feedback is also timely and relevant every single session. Thank you Mitch and A Team Tuition!”
Their unique approach to helping students feel confident in their preparation for exams, assessments and increasing their literacy and numeracy skills, sets them up for success, no matter their hesitations. It is so important, especially within this generation, to find ways to keep students engaged in the learning process.
“In respect of Teliah, she has been fabulous. Matthew got his marks and went to a B+ in a subject he had been failing, and his other subject was an A which had been a B that they had been working on.
Teliah herself has been professional, a good communicator, has provided timely feedback and has been on time herself in every event – well presented and once she did the first session well researched in the work she has been attending too with Matty.
She has definitely been a credit to your organisation and has justified the marketing that A Team Tuition has in respect of improvement.”
